There is a lot of talk about exercise and burning calories, for good reason but its almost just as important to consider your activity the other 23 – 23.5 hours you are not exercising.

 

N.E.A.T. is an acronym for Non Exercise Activity Thermogenesis

○ Moving around at work or at home 

○ Playing with kids and pets. 

○ Carrying groceries etc,.

 

N.E.A.T. calories also includes stuff like fidgeting, pacing and tapping limbs. Not that I am suggesting to fidget more, but stuff like subtle or full on dancing in the kitchen or car OR taking phone calls whenever possible on walks can be easy non exercise related ways to burn more calories.
